WIPRO MISSION 10 X  FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

 

Mission10X is a quantum innovation project for enhancing employability of engineering graduates in India through innovation. Mission10X vision is to increase the employability of engineering students by ten times.

Mission10X is a not for profit trust created by Wipro Technologies and was launched on Teacher’s day, September 5th, 2007.

Now, close to their third anniversary, they are able to reach out to over 10,500 faculty members across 20 states spanning over 750 colleges. Many universities have concurred with this innovative methodology and are actively supporting in this initiative. Over 4,000 assets are already captured across various Engineering disciplines on their community portal www.mission10x.com

 

 

Mission10X collaborative efforts help enable to monitor the impact on the increase of student employability at college level. Through their layered set workshops faculty should be able to achieve –  

  1. Implementation of innovative teaching methodologies
  2. Faculty members obtain 3 international certificates (Dale Carnegie ‘High Impact Teaching Skills’, Cambridge Certification for Teachers & Trainers and Mission10X Learning Approach)
  3. Invitation to Master Trainer’s Program at Bangalore, on merit basis for practitioners
  4. Train their peer at college level
  5. Opportunity to get publish on Mission10X portal thru case studies
  6. Nomination for quarterly innovation awards
  7. Participate in Learning Forums
  8. Invitation to annual regional/national Educator’s Meet
  9. Other academic initiatives like Academic Leadership Program for the principals and directors (designed for senior academicians)

Wipro Mission 10 x  workshop was conducted at Skyline Institute of Engineering & Technology the first level workshop was held in January 24th to 29th January 2011 and the second level workshop was held in 25th & 26th March 2011. Faculty members from JSS ACADEMY NOIDA, ITS Engineering college, Greater Noida and Skyline Institute of Engineering & Technology participated in both the workshops .

 

AICTE SPONSORED STAFF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (JANUARY 18-28, 2011)

B.Tech.-Mechanics subject.

 

AICTE sponsored 10 days STAFF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME for Engineering Mechanics which was inaugurated in the SKYLINE Institute of Engineering & Technology on 18th January 211. This programme was initiated to develop the teaching faculty of Engineering Mechanics in various Institutions in NCR region. The prominent experts in the subject trained about 28 faculty of various Institutions with proven and innovative techniques of teaching Mechanics to make the subject easily understood by the students. This is the first time that AICTE had sponsored this programme in NCR region in association with SKYLINE INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TCHNOLOGY.  

 

 

Inaugurating the programme, the Chief Guest, Dr. A.K.Khare, Vice President of IEC, said that the students treat this subject as difficult one and try to postpone attempting it to pass it in the first attempt. It is essential to make it simple to understand using innovative techniques. Prof. S.R.Prasad of Galgotias started the first lecture of this programme.

 

 

 

The Coordinator of this programme were Prof. Sudhir Kumar Singh and Prof S.C. Gupta .

 

The faculty members from JSS,IEC, G.L.Bajaj, IMT, ITS, IMI, RD engg., High Tech, SGIT, RKGIT, DSITM, Ideal, AKG and SKYLINE participated in this programme..
