Rationale
One of the ways to improve the quality of teaching in some of the need-based areas courses is to impart special training to faculty members teaching these courses through interactive workshops, Special Student Centric lectures etc.
Such an action is more relevant in the areas where the students are not able to perform well or for the courses which are quite relevant and need based from the point of view of Placement and Industrial Utility.
Keeping the above in view, Skyline Institute of Engineering & Technology runs departments-wise student centric interactive workshops in need based areas. In order to share the benefits of this programme with other sister institutes, the faculty members from various institutes from Noida, Greater Noida, Meerut, Lucknow, Kanpur etc. are also invited to participate in the programme. Expert senior faculty from IITs, NITs and other reputed institutions are invited to conduct the programme.
Objectives
In addition to the above mentioned Faculty Development Programmes, Entrepreneurship Development Training is also need of the hour. The faculty with adequate skills, knowledge and information in this area train young students to take up entrepreneurship as their career.
The Faculty Development Programmes are designed to train and develop faculty members of different departments in need based courses/areas so that they can act as 'Resource Persons' in guiding and motivating the students to perform well.
The specific objectives are :
Expose the participating faculty members of our institute as well as sister institutions to important areas/courses so that they become 'Resource Persons' in these areas and they can start R&D activities on their own.
To run such programmes in the courses that are highly relevant from the point of view of current industrial need.
To run such programmes in the courses where the student performance, in general, is not upto the mark.
