This Department is effectively controlled by Prof. Sudhir Kumar Singh, Dr. S.C. Gupta and Dr. N.D. Das PhD from IIT Delhi. The department has well qualified & experienced faculty.
The department is continuously striving to achieve excellence in education, academic & industry oriented research as well as consultancy work with service to society. Its mission is to produce the highest quality of mechanical graduates to serve the society. The department is accredited by National Board of Accredation (NBA), New Delhi.
The department comprises of state of the art laboratories that are well equipped with the most advanced instruments. To meet the research requirements a new laboratory for material Science & testing is funded by AICTE under MODROBS to Dr. S.C. Gupta working in the area of material science.
Besides the basic course offered department conducts industrial visits of core-companies like NTPC, Talbros, Honda Siel Cars Limited, Sharda Motors etc & seminars, guest lectures by eminent faculty members are organized.
The department has 13 well equipped laboratories backed by four drawing halls, and a huge central workshop with seven sections. At present it admits 180 students in the first year.
